Around Town: Restaurant Week After Party
Anyone who knows me and anyone who was read my Sobe reviews knows of my love for food. So, I am sure you it will not come as a surprise to you that I attended a party to honor the restaurants that participated in the event. The event was held at Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Annex.
Restaurant week (which has been extended till September 7th) gives budget conscious consumers the opportunity to enjoy food and experience some of the most expensive restaurants at an affordable price. And, it happens a couple of times a year. Since, I’ve discovered this excited, I’ve “celebrated” by attending a different restaurant at each round. I can’t even tell you how many I’ve attended. My favorite so far is Megu. That place is HEAVEN.
The “NYC Restaurant Week Summer 2009 After Party” is the first effort of its kind celebrating restaurant week. Here’s hoping more are to come. Guests at the party where treated to specialty cocktails, great delicious bites and of course fabulous guests. This party was a thank you to the more than 250 restaurants participating Summer Restaurant Week 2009.
Guests included, Tracy Nieporent, NYC Restaurant Week Committee Chairman and Partner/Director of Marketing at the Myriad Restaurant Group, and representatives from event sponsor, StellaArtois. Additionally, Marnie Baretz (NYC & Company), Wes Debenport (Stella Artois), Paul Byrne (Stella Artois), Alex Lambrecht (Stella Artois), Wendy Vividor (NYC & Company), Tracy Nieporent (Myriad Restaurant Group), Jane Reiss (NYC & Company).
