RSSSwarovski Crystallized Holiday Preview Party Review
I had the pleasure of attending a party at Swarovski Crystallized concept store in Soho for a preview of the Holiday Collection this past Thursday. The party was more like a “small” gathering and it felt like I must have just missed the “party” because it was pretty empty in there, but I quickly found companionship in a glass of bubbly. Perhaps, because the crowd was so small guests were giving a one on one tour of the store and preview the collections of Swarovski elements for the holiday.
At 5,000 Square feet, the store its only of its kind and its unique in that it allows the customer to purchase exclusive crystals that were once only available to designers and buyers. It offers something like 2,000 CRYSTALLIZED™ – Swarovski Elements, an immense selection of crystal colors, in many shapes and cuts. There’s a lot of shiny and fun crystals. The space is truly amazing. There is an entire wall stocked with crystals of all shapes and sizes and colors. The store also offers the customer an opportunity to purchase some of their exclusive designer collaborations.
Seriously the whole place is like a shiny playground, there are mannequins wearing spectacular glimmering gowns, display cases with filled with jewels and surprise, there is the cutest café in the back. Downstairs there was a beautiful lounge with huge photographs of style icons Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and CoCo Chanel and sexy leather chairs. And, I gone with the wind inspired feel.
The store is so gorgeous that I almost didn’t want to leave. But after ooohing and awwing over sparkly things for about a half hour, I grew tired and wondered what else there was to do. To my happiness, there was goodie bag and in it a $50 gift certificate to shop online. What a nice finishing touch.
