First Look: Nicole by Nicole Miller Spring 2011
Designers like Anna Sui, Zac Posen and Jimmy Choo, have only recently teamed up with major retailers such as Target and H&M to create fast-fashion collections for the masses but not Nicole Miller; the designer, who has dressed Angelina Jolie and Jessica Simpson and is known for her tasteful, elegant feminine dresses, has had a diffusion line with JCPenney since 2005. The line, “Nicole by Nicole Miller,” will mark its sixth year with a budget-friendly collection that is not only stylish but is also casual and trendy.
The “Nicole By Nicole Miller” Spring 2011 collection will feature a cool selection of maxi dresses, fitted oxford shirts, leggings, tops, tanks, dressed shorts, in a series of bold colors and tribal inspired prints. Expect to see lots of blues (in several hues), summer whites, bright oranges, purples in the collection of tunics and loose-fitting dresses. Standout pieces from the collection include a blue/black ruffle tank, lavender crotchet top, and an African print 3/4 tunic dress.
While you decide which pieces to add to your closet – remember most tops/dresses won’t cost more than $65, shoes no more than $60, and bangs no more $40.
