Liberty of London for Target Pop-up Shop is Open for Business!

The Liberty of London for Target collection will officially launch this Sunday, March 14 (so mark your calendar print lovers) but lucky New Yorkers can get a sneak peek and shop NOW at the temporary pop-up shop.  The temporary pop-shop located at 1095 Sixth Ave and right across from Bryant Park; a  fitting for location such a fashionable line and best all affordable line, which I simple adore.   The Liberty of London collection is extra special because it truly has something for everyone in the family–unlike say the Jean Paul Gautier which only has pieces for women.  This line has pieces for  men, woman, children and even home goods and  even printed bikes.

The wide array of choices for the ENTIRE family and affordability perhaps explains why eager New Yorkers lined up early yesterday morning with lines wrapped around the block when the pop-op opened yesterday.  However,  before the pop-up officially opened to the public, Target held a special preview for a select few, including spokesperson Naomi Watts who went unnoticed as she shopped the collection.

Needless,  to say I was lucky to attend the special preview and shop the collection and I was so happy that I avoided the long lines of shoppers.  But, that also means, I had more time to shop and spend more money mind you a received a $50 gift card when I came in yet I still spend a lot.  I was drawn the prints and  the pop-up shop was felt so serene for a moment I thought I was shopping for a beach vacation.

The collection is so versatile – with cute summer dresses, adorable clothes for babies and children;  and really interesting print collar shirts for men.    Interestingly enough, these shirt are HOT commodity right now and what everyone seems to love the most about the collection.  As of this morning the Men collection was GONE, reports racked.com.   How is that even possible? But, get in there before its all gone.

For details on the pop-shop… but in the meantime more images from the pop-up. … Continue Reading

American Eagle Outfitters Spring/Summer Lookbook

03/09/2010 Fashion, Stories of the day No Comments Posted by Lorna

When American Eagle, opened its newest store Time Square people noticed.  The store was packed with fabulous guests and busy shoppers.  While, I loved the party as it was hands down one best store openings I’ve ever been, I didn’t get a chance to look at the clothes.  I love clothes. Its true so when I received an invitation to attend the preview for the spring/summer collection, I gladly said yes.

In the middle of winter in what seem a cruel joke completely beach sand, mini pina coladas, and hot summer type dudes,  American Eagle held its preview.  It was a wonderful temporary escape from the awful winter weather.  The brand which is targeted the younger is really affordable and super classic.  So, there’s truly something for everyone.  If you are worried that you may be too “mature” for the collection — don’t be.  They are some really cute and great pieces for you too.   The hats  for instance are just so pratical, afforable and cute.  I really loved the AE plaid trim fedora which retails for $19.50.  And, the sweat pants are so amazing, they are seriously the sofest thing ever and are so comfortable even by sweatpant standards.

Additionally, AE recently introduced a new beauty line  which features NatureActives Complex, a unique blend of vitamin rich and antioxidant amia fruit, cardamon and vitamin E.   The four distant  “lines” of scent include Coconut + Vanilla Bean, Fresh Citrus+ Papaya, Violet Leah + Lychee, and my favorite Apple Blossom+Cucumber.   Each scent line also come with a healing hand cream ($8.50), Body lotion ($12.50), Cream Body Wash ($12.50), Body Scrub ($14.50), and a Fragrance Mist ($12.50).

Want to see the collection? Sure you do?

Judith Ripka Launches Silver and Gold Collection on QVC

03/07/2010 Fashion , No Comments Posted by Lorna

I LOVE a good bargain and what’s more I recently developed a strong love for accessories.  Who knew?  Indeed,  my new found love for all thing shiny, perhaps explains why the new Judith Ripka line for QVC has me shaking in Christian Siriano boots with excitement and in fear for my poor wallet.  This collection, is different from her previous collections.

Though, Ripka has worked with QVC for 12-years and produced a wonderful and loyal following, this is first time the collection will include sterling silver with 14k gold accents. What’s more the line is chic, classic and best of all afforable – prices range from $60 to $210.  And, did I say cute?  Furthermore, to celebrate Oscars,  Judith Ripka selected pieces from collection that are “Oscar worthy” as part “Ripka Hollywood Suite.

The “Ripka Hollywood Suite” is set air during Ripka’s March 7 show from 9 PM to 12 AM (ET) to coincide with Oscar programming.  What’s more, during the broadcast, Ripka will share her red-carpet wardrobing tips in honor of this special occasion.   But, don’t worry if you are planning to watch the Oscars  so can’t watch the special because the “Ripka Hollywood Suite” will air again.
