Spotlight on Style: Eugenia Kim for Target

I am mad about hats. They perfectly fit my head and hide me from the world when I am having a bad hair day.  So, its no surprise that I love Eugenia Kim hats. She is (after all) a pro at making hats.

The celebrity hat designer, (yes there’s such a thing, and Eugenia Kim is it) started her hat business completely by accident. And, now her hats have been spotted on the likes of Brad Pitt;  Lindsay Lohan, was spotted wearing Eugenia Kim’s hat in the now infamous incident – the one were Lindsay was caught slumped over in the front of her car.

A typical hat from the her “normal” collection can set you back $100 or more dollars; a little to much for my taste.  So am also loving her new line for Target.

The Eugenia Kim for Target collection ($14.99-$19.99) is the first hat launch in a series of limited-time-only accessory designers at Target, featuring a range of hats that are on-trend and functional that fit into any budget.  The collection offers the same fabulous flair that her hat lovers have come to expect but at more affordable prices.    Inspired by Havana, Cuba, the collection includes cloche, fedora, sun-hat, bucket hat, newsboy and pillbox silhouettes using woven and printed fabrics with various embellishments.

While, all the hats are fabulous, I particularly love the Straw Fedora in Green with Black/White Trim ($16.99). What’s not love? Cool color and even cooler style.  Its perfect for the day, evening or just lounge around the beach or pool. Don’t you think?  Get yours today.

Must Have: Zac Posen For Target Brocade Dress

We here love the Target collections.  And, the so its surprised that I love the Zac Posen for Target collection.  While some pieces weren’t for me, others were but one I had to have.  I had to have the Zac Posen For Target Brocade Dress in Floral ($79.99).  From the looks of it, I am not the only one, the dress sold out online within hours of making it online.  I am not crazy but I did go crazy for this dress.   So much so, I had my poor friends on the hunt for the dress for me. And, to my relief, the dress was found.

This brocade dress is perfect as a cocktail dress to attend that summer wedding or fancy gathering; or, its perfect as a cute work dress as long as you pair it with a sweater.  The print is a downright fabulous and plus its has POCKETS.

If you think you are interested get on it like yesterday. The dresses have been selling out like crazy.

Must Have: Gracia ruffled dress ($77)

Looking for a great summer dress that won’t break the bank? Well, you are in luck. Allow me to introduce you to Gracia clothing. The company has a cool selection of dresses that you may just covet but I have feeling the prices may win you over even more.  The clothing is very affordable with most pieces costing less than $100 and best of all the pieces very chic.

We loved the Gracia ruffled dress ($77) that comes in peach, white, and green. The peach version is perfect for a cool summer look around town with your gladiator sandals and cool summer hat.  The decision on how you rock it- is yours(of course) and surely more options will come to mind but we love the idea of the summer look.  Perhaps, you will too.

Our Newest Love: Hello! Skinny Jeans

Oprah Winfrey, has proudly declared her love for Hello! Skinny Jeans.  The brand, claims to “tackled every possible way to make blue jeans more slimming and flattering,” but does it really work? I was tasked with the “awful” job of trying the jeans to test the claims.

See, I don’t wear jeans or pants for that matter– mainly because (I feel) jeans don’t flatter my figure and I feel they make me look fat. So when, I was offered the opportunity to try a pair of skinny jeans from Hello! Jeans, I was apprehensive to say the least; but not one to turn down an opportunity to try free clothes, especially one that claims to make you look smaller, I quickly sent my information for my jeans. I received the new astrological sign Hello! Skinny Jeans in dark denim and the regular dark denim. And, so glad I did. I love them.

I am truly convinced of their mystical jean “slimming and flattering” properties, since the first time I tried them on. I didn’t even believe I would fit into the jeans they sent and I thought they must have been some mistakes because they jeans seem so SMALL. But, at last they jeans fit and amazingly well- I must say. I am still trying to understand how.

I feel skinnier wearing with my Hello!’s and it now has become a staple piece in my wardrobe. I now wear JEANS and I didn’t before.

While the jeans, are a bit pricey($178 and up!), they are a must have if you are looking for a perfect jeans that doesn’t look like you squeezed yourself in. Though, a word of advice wash them before you wear them otherwise, you will stain your clothes.
