There’s something about Ports 1961 that really makes me happy. I am even happier now that I’ve received a sneak peek image for the Spring/Summer 2011 collection.

“This season, Ports 1961 designer,Fiona Cibani, draws inspiration from the magic allure of the desert. With delicate mirage abstractions and a landscape in constant evolution as her muse, Fiona crafts a collection within a realm of harmonic contrasts.”

On Friday, September 10^th, Ports 1961 will showcase the Spring/Summer 2011 collection at Lincoln Center. Stay Tuned.

Lady Gaga New V Magazine Spread “A Year in the Life”

The FAB! has just receive advance images of Lady Gaga’s new spread for V Magazine. This is a repeat appearance for the just dance singer on the magazine. Her previous spread was well “interesting” – that’s all I will say about it, but true to Lady Gaga’s personal style. This spread, however, is vastly different and offers fans a small glimpse into Lady Gaga’s life.

“A Year in the Life,” as officially recounted by Lady Gaga’s own Fashion Director and best friend, Nicola Formichetti, chronicles the singer’s rise to fashion and music royalty. The spread also attempts to provide an insight into the unique style that both Lady GaGa and Nicola Formichetti have become famous for. The feature will include 15 Gaga moments as told by Nicola Formichetti

The V MAGAZINE, V67, hit newsstands on September 2^nd but we have images of the entire spread.

Sneak Peek: Tibi Spring/Summer 2011 Design Inspiration

Along with the invitations for the Spring/Summer 2011 fashion week, some designers are also releasing design inspirations images/sketches for their collection. The latest received – Tibi. There’s something about Tibi that makes my heart beat faster.

Designer Amy Smilovic launched Tibi in 1997 and since then this “casual chic” brand has created timeless pieces that are infused with fun prints. This design perspective has resulted in a loyal following.

The latest collection draws on that tradition, “Spring 11 for Tibi is all about classic with a modern twist. Simplicity and ease with a touch of flare in the structure of the clothing or accessories,” explained Ms. Smilovic.

The spring collection is schedule to debut on September 14, 2010 at “The Stage” in Lincoln Center. Stay Tuned.

Armani Exchange “Stretch Twill Trench” – Who Wore it Best?

Times a changing with fall just around the corner, new season, new styles, new everything, and best of all tons of shopping for the latest fashion must haves. A fall staple is a classic trench and we here are loving the Stretch Twill Trench Coat from Armani Exchange ($185). Its looks like our love is shared by a few notables personalities as they have shown their love for this darling jacket. We spotted Ali Fedotowsky, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Autumn Reeser with this trench. Now, the obvious question – who wore it best??

Serena Williams Dazzles at her Hamptons Magazine Launch Party

Southeast Asian restaurant, Pranna, was buzzing with activity this past Wednesday (August 25), as guests gathered around to celebrate niche media new Hamptons‘ magazine cover with Serena Williams. The gorgeous crowd of taste-makers, socialites and media professionals, danced, enjoyed specialty cocktails from Grey Goose and sampled Honey Deuce (a delicious drink infused with honeydew) the official drink of the U.S Open. Additionally, a uniform clad waitstaff passed a special selection of delicious bites from the restaurant, as attendees waited for the guest of honor to arrive.

A fresh-faced Serena Williams looked absolutely stunning despite a recent injury that left the reigning world singles tennis champ with an unsightly leg brace and her arrival definitely caused a stir. And, with good reason she was glowing. Indeed, the tennis star’s dazzling appearance led to rumors of plastic surgery. Whatever the reason for the recent change, its undeniable that she looked great at the festive cover launch affair.

Serena, received a welcome introduction from good friend Russell Simmons, thanked the audience for coming to enjoy the special night with her and took the opportunity to raise raising awareness to the Diamond Empowerment Fund.

The issue is currently in newsstands everywhere.
