Jimmy Choo For H&M is Here and We Have Pictures

So the collaboration between Jimmy Choo and H&M is finally here after what seems like the longest wait. EVER.  And, in a couple of hours if you so desire you can get in line to purchase anything from the collection.  Are you thinking of getting something? Here’s a tip go.

Although Friday the 13th is considered unlucky to many for me it  was may lucky day because the people over at Jimmy Choo had a special press preview sale for the collection at the Fifth Avenue store (640 Fifth Avenue). The party  included drinks,  hors doeuvre ‘s and of course tons of shopping.  All while listening to sounds the fabulous DJ MOS, who by way made very happy.  He played one of my favorite songs of all time– Hi-Five-I Like The Way (Kissing Game);which got me in the mood for shopping. Sadly, spent too much money.  Most of the Jimmy Choo collection is roped off into a special section of the store so that section was crazy. I am sure you wouldn’t be surprised to know that the H&M store was crowded with busy shoppers all looking to score their item early before the mad rush of people waiting line.

Now, H&M is trying to avoid a diva war so they created a handy shopping guide.

What you should expect if you are arrive early.

• The first 160 people in line will receive a bracelet.  The Bracelet will allow to enter the Jimmy Choo Section.

• Once you’ve gotten your bracelet you will receive a designated time that may go into the section.

• The bracelet is only needed to purchase women’s shoes, bags and accessories.

• Customers shopping for women’s clothes or the men’s collection will not need bracelets.

• After two hours, the collection will be open to everyone.  The bracelet will no longer be necessary.

• You are more than welcome to purchase the entire collection, but each person may only buy ONE of each item. YEP.

Stores that will be carrying the collection:   

• 1328 Broadway (between 34th and 35th)

• 150 E. 86th Street (between Lexington and Third)

• 435 Seventh Avenue (between 34th and 35th)

• 640 Fifth Avenue (between 51st and 52nd)

• 713 Lexington Avenue (between 57th and 58th)

Jimmy Choo and Elton John AIDS Foundation Support “Project Prep”

THE COMPETITION

Jimmy Choo and Elton John AIDS Foundation have launched a photo competition to support the launch of Project PEP, a charity collection that donates 25% of sales to the Simelela Rape Centre in South Africa. The money goes towards providing the HIV-preventative treatment PEP (which must be taken within 72 hours of exposure to HIV) and counselling to victims of rape in South Africa, which has the highest count of rape in the world.

ENTRIES

The theme of the photo competition is ‘You, Your Shoes and 72’, and as you can see from some of the photo entries below, we’ve had a very diverse response over the past few weeks.

PRIZES

Those who submit their entries before 26^th October will be shortlisted for an exhibition at the celebrity launch event at Selfridges London on 29^th October. On this night Tamara Mellon will launch the ‘PEP-Up Shop’ at Selfridges, which will display the Project PEP collection and the selected photo entries for 72 hours thereafter.

The overall winners will be announced after the competition close on 7^th December. On offer is a Grand Prize of 7 pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes and 2 handbags, plus over 100 exclusive Jimmy Choo prizes.

Images of Jimmy Choo for H&M Have Surfaced

We recently informed you of Jimmy Choo collaboration with H&M.  The collection will hit stores November 14. So mark those calendar and get your friends ready to wait in line as the interest for the shoes in collection is intense.    H&M is even preparing for the exciting customers by creating detailed instructions on “how to shop” for the collection.    The key is to get there early as the first 160 customers will receive a bracelet which will grant access to special designated areas.

That said H&M has released some advance  images of the collection.  I must say I like what I see and I may just be online on November 14 right there with you. In meantime head over to H&M to prepare for the big day.

Jimmy Choo is coming to H&M

November 14th to be exact, yeah, it is a long time from today. Let the count down begin. Why? Well, Jimmy Choo is just one of the most recognizable shoe brand in world. If you are a Sex and City fanatic you will understand why fashionistas everywhere are rejoicing. I mean can you imagine the thought of getting Jimmy Choo shoes at H&M prices? I for one will be the first person on line to get my shoes and no I am not joking.
