American Eagle Flagship Store Opens in NYC

Even in the middle of New York’s  Times Square were the “naked cowboy” is often spotted walking around without so much of a side-eye from your typical the New Yorker, the American Eagle Outfitters flagship store opening party managed to get New Yorkers interested. And, it certainly made an impression with the flashing light bulbs, sexy guests and celebrity guests all enjoying the activities of the night.

The 25,000 square feet officially opens it door the general public on November 19th, but a preview party was held two days prior to a huge crowd of invited guests. And, AEO went all out for the night activities. The store’s three floors were busy and each floor had a special giveaway. In the middle floor guest were able to customize a hoodie to their liking with words like Fierce, or New York, or just cool sayings, once you were done you could design your trucker hat with whatever you wanted. In the third floor there was an underwear section were guests were able to choose an underwear of their liking and also a perfume.

Though apparently the highlight of the evening was the scheduled special performance by Leighton Meester. Yes, she also sings – if you want to name it that. She performed. Yeah, I don’t know quite what to say so I am just going to move on. I did really enjoyed hearing DJ Pete Wentz, doing his hang of the turn tables.  DJ Chachi did his thang too.

In addition to Leighton Meester who had a four song performance including her single “Somebody to Love” and DJ Pete Wentz other celebrity guests included Jessica Szohr, Michelle Trachtenberg, Sebastian Stan, Matthew Settle, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, Adrian Grenier,  Eric Mabius, Mark Paul Gosselaar, Justin Kirk,  Roxy Olins, Christian Siriano, MTV VJ Adrienne Bailon, among others.

ATLN Swarovski, Guess Store Re-opening & H&M

Around Town Last Night (ATLN):  Attended: Swarovski, Guess Store Re-opening and H&M party. Yesterday was an event packed evening with tons of bubbly. Now, you know that’s my favorite kind of night.

Anyways, I started my night at the Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED™ store in New York.  Upon entering, I was greeted with a glass of bubbly and was instructed to get my gift at the table. WHAT, WHAT! Shopping and bubbly, what way to start my evening!  And, t here was a 15% discount on all the bling and charms in the store.

I then walked a couple of blocks to the Guess? store re-opening party hosted by Michelle Trachtenberg with Marie Claire.  The event also raised money for Oxfam and a $5 donation got you a gift bag that included $20 gift card to Guess.  Anyways, did you know the store was closed for five months? I had no idea but I am glad that its back up and running and that they’ve added additional square feet. You know what means? More  shopping.

I made my way to way to waiter because there’s nothing better than a cold glass of bubbly.  And, I spot none other than Kanye West future ex-wife Amber Rose in her Sunday best. It quickly crowded near my section so I took a picture of her and then walked around and then Spotted Lydia Hearst.  Also in attendance: Selita Ebanks, Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Phillip Bloc, and Heather Tom.

My time at the Guess store over and the night still young, I decided to check out the H&M party at The Standard Hotel and its looks like I wasn’t the only person that had the same idea as I spotted a few faces from the Guess party.  The rooftop was perfect for the evening. The Standard Hotel which over looks the High Line has amazing views.

Anyways, after some time I hear the crowd buzzing that someone big is going to come through.  Who could it be? I thought but then I quickly got distracted by a cupcake. Remember I love food.  So, I had forgotten all about the “big” guests until I saw Kanye West Future ex-wife Amber Rose. I mean its so easy to spot her in her Sunday best. And, I all kept of thinking, Amber is following me? Though, I know she is not.

After the busy party at Guess it was great to come to an H&M party for a chill ending to a great evening. most of women seem to be catching up with friends and just taking a chill night out.

High Line Summer Benefit

While you were at home getting ready for today, I was out busy partying at the first official party on the High Line.  That’s right, where a dinner ticket cost $1,000 and table reservation costs $15,000. The proceeds from the event  will be used to hire gardeners and staff to maintain the park.  The opening comes after a 10 year effort to save and preserve the High Line so it could open as a New York City park. The dream is now a reality.  The crowd in attendance was celebrating the Opening of Summer at the High Line and honor Lisa Maria and Philip Falcone and Edward Norton who all helped make the dream become a reality.

The guests dined at Pier sixty for an evening of amazing food and great company and followed their dinner but what else? By christening the highline with a party of course.  The guest had the run of the high line which was changed for the event by adding amazing blue lights and this pretty cool bar. The bar was surprisingly empty.  I can’t even imagine why! There was Moet in the house. Now, if you are faithful reader, I don’t need to say anything else. I love bubbly.

As I made my way through the party and grabbed my glass of Moet, I spotted Michelle Trachtenberg sharing a laugh with friends as she made her way through party. Almost instantly after, I saw Tayor Lautner who looks EXACTLY as he does in pictures and in the movies.  He was gracious and posed for a picture as his publicists looked on.

Zoe Saldana looked amazing and walked the crowed with her friends and designer Franciso Costa. Did you know that Center Stage is just one of my favorite movies? What can I say, I love cheese dance movies. I almost blurted that out but I was cool.
Lake Bell, looked ginermous in her six inch beautiful heels which I am sure where hurting because I only saw her sitting down.  Hey, beauty is pain, my friend beauty is pain.   I couldn’t understand her hair though. It was some form of beehive; I mean people still wear them? I wondered many times if she had snacks in there. Hmmm.

Liya Kebede was walking hand in hand with her Hubby. I seriously can’t believe she’s had two kids; she is so thin and gorgeous.

At one point, Edward Norton, Rhea Perlman, Danny Devito and Lucy Devito all were busy chatting and making small talk before Edward Norton was joined by a friend.  Danny Devito waved when he realized that I wanted to take his pictures and smiled for me. Edward Norton on the other hand wasn’t as pleased but did allow me to take a picture and I must say it came out pretty nice. Nothing to worry about Edward.

I saw this woman in this amazing Marilyn Monroe inspired print dress.  As I walked closer to take a better look, I realize it was Molly Sims chatting with some of her equally famous friends.  Maybe Nate Burkus? I did see him briefly chatting with a group. But, I just can’t tell you who she was chatting with. I was too in love with her dress to notice.   It seems after the CFDA many of those guests made their way down to the High Line to continue the party.  As Molly Sims, DVF, Jason Wu where all in attendance earlier at the CFDA and I also saw them at the party.

On my way out, I spotted Genevieve Jones and I just couldn’t get over her make-up. Man did she have a lot on. And, I mean a lot of it on. What does she do again? Someone tell me.  Hmm…  Gasps, I actually left the party early because I was cold. I know shocking but it was an amazing night and cheers on the opening of High Line.
