RSSI “Heart” Ronson BBQ with Charlotte Ronson, Hillary Duff, Others
JC Penny and Charlotte Ronson teamed for a barbecue theme party to celebrate the I ‘heart’ Ronson collection. Charlotte Ronson and the Ronson clan where all on hand for “I heart Ronson!
The I ‘Heart’ Ronson celebration/BBB party was held at the always fun Chelsea Piers Lighthouse. The Lighthouse was transformed into a fun backyard getaway complete with a volley ball court, a “shopping center,” an ice cream shop, a bbq grill, and mini food and bar sections throughout the venue. The party was the event of the evening and the hottest ticket in town! I mean the hottest ticket where everyone was calling in favors to guarantee that they were on the list. The super swanky invited guests partied, danced, and most importantly shopped night away to sounds of DJ Sam Ronson and Mark Ronson.
The I “Heart” Ronson, collection is recent collaboration with JC Penny to provide affordable and fashionable clothing to the masses and by masses I mean women between the ages of 21-35. Yep! The collections features a complete sportswear line with tees, knit tops, blouses, sweaters, jeans, skirts, dresses and jackets. And, retails anywhere from $15 to 65. Prices any recessionista can truly love – how fun is that? The collection includes many floral prints and “vintage” pieces all in line with Charlotte Ronson “signature” looks.
Anyways, having been to other parties co-sponsored by JC Penny, I knew that this was not to be missed. And, this one was no different. The party was a blast! The food stations were fun and had something for everyone. In one corner guests could make their own sliders to their choosing. They could select from a wide array of toppings to make their burger to choosing. In another section guests where able to select from the mac and cheese, salad and/or fried chicken. I choose the mac and cheese with a side of salad. Yum. And you know I love food. So this will come as no surprise to you that I made a bee line to the ice cream shop and I bumped Cisco Adler as in Mischa boo on my way to the ice cream. I was ashamed but he found it funny and rightly called my greed as he said “You are just going for that ice cream.”
But, my absolute favorite part of the evening was the “gift bag” which wasn’t a gift bag at all. It was more I “Heart” Ronson” money to use in the to purchase of an item from the collection. My very first gifting suite. After looking at all the collection, I decided to “purchase” a purple floral print dress with fun ruffles. I can’t wait to wear it.
DJ Sam Ronson whom I have never heard spin – won my affection. She played some of my favorites songs and tons of music by Biggie! I am from Brooklyn so I love Biggie.. Speaking of DJ Sam Ronson, I was hoping for a Lindsay Lohan sighting but that was not the case but other guests included Mischa Barton, Sophia Bush, Hilary Duff, Genevieve Jones, Sean Lennon, Kemp Muhl, Zoe Kravitz, Chris Benz, Cisco Adler, Olivia Thirlby, Crystal Renn and others.
